So why only a 4 star? Like another reviewer said, I had a seam blow out on the right hip/thigh. Something with manufacturing I expect. Maybe the way the fabric is weaved and then sewn together causes this right side issue?? Anway, this happened after only a few times in the yard. I took them to my local cleaning place and the seamstress restiched the seam (to be sure, the seam was shredded, not just split) and then put a patch on the inside. Now, I'm sporting them at all my gardening jobs! (PS... I did just recently buy another pair! So you know, I love them otherwise. :-) Just be ready for the right side split!
They are super cute and comfortable, however I really love the added side pockets and back pockets on the original pink overalls and missed them on this pair.
As far as fit: everything was comfy, however the detachable knee's didn't quite line up as they should and I often ended up hitting parts of my knees on whatever I was kneeling on - which caused some bruising so I learned to be extra careful when using this pair if I was kneeling on anything hard. After about 2 months of use (once a weekend) - and approx 8 washes & hanging them to dry on my line, the seam on the right hip/thigh has come apart and is not easily repaired.
Overall I much prefer the original pink overalls although the print of these was too cute to pass up I would not get these ones again - but might opt for the purple pair. two stars is for the poor line up of the detachable knees and the seams coming apart in such a short time - otherwise it would be 4 stars :)
Have been wearing it often for gardening and pottery and working with chicken wire. Especially love the buttons so it fits just right on my hips. Sturdy so chicken wire doesn’t go through and soft on the knees. The only negative is it takes a long time to dry after washing. I keep getting positive comments when I walk around town so I tell them how to get a pair. And my sisters love theirs! Hot pink for the diva, and eggplant for the country gal.
